Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any services provided by KCB General Trading and Projects (Pty)Ltd ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you may not access or use our services.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use our services. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Services Provided

We provide various home improvement and construction services including but not limited to:

• Building and construction services
• Painting and decorating
• Welding and metalwork
• Landscaping and gardening
• Electrical and plumbing services
• Home renovations and remodeling

All services are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued without notice at our sole discretion.

3. Service Agreements

3.1 Quotes and Estimates

All quotes and estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Final pricing may vary based on actual project requirements.

3.2 Project Scope

The scope of work will be defined in a written agreement before commencement of any project. Any changes to the scope must be agreed upon in writing by both parties.

3.3 Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in your service agreement. Typically, we require:

• A deposit of 30% to secure materials and schedule
• Progress payments as outlined in the agreement
• Final payment upon satisfactory completion

4. Client Responsibilities

As our client, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information about your project
• Obtain any necessary permits or approvals
• Ensure safe access to the work area
• Make timely payments as agreed
• Secure personal belongings and pets during work hours

5. Warranties and Guarantees

We guarantee our workmanship for a period of 12 months from project completion, unless otherwise specified in your service agreement. This warranty covers defects in workmanship but does not cover:

• Damage caused by improper use or maintenance
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage from external factors beyond our control
• Modifications made by others after project completion

Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and products used, and these may vary by supplier.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KCB General Trading and Projects shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use our services
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
• Any interruption or cessation of services
• Any errors or omissions in any content
• Any events beyond our reasonable control

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

7.1 Project Cancellation

You may cancel a scheduled project with the following notice periods:

• More than 7 days before start date: Full refund of deposit
• 3-7 days before start date: 50% of deposit refundable
• Less than 3 days before start date: Deposit non-refundable

7.2 Service Satisfaction

If you are unsatisfied with our services, please notify us immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to address your concerns. Refunds, if applicable, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Johannesburg.
